MED, Antioxidants, Parabens, metabolism, exercise, rest

In Greek there is a ancient saying "παν μέτρον άριστον" loosely translates to "all things in moderation". It's application is the balancing act of MED (Minimum Effective Dose) and the time it would take it to be completely metabolized and cleaned out from the system. In his book the 4-Hour Body, Tim Ferris argued toward "Minimum Effective Dose" defined as the smallest dose that will produce a desired outcome.

Imagine Parabens  and Antioxitants as potential agents.

Parabens are commonly used in cosmetics and also found in low concentrations in breast tumors but have not yet been proven to cause breast cancer.

Antioxidants help when your sick, enhance fatigue resistance but negate the response of up-regulating performance.

When using any agent in my opinion chronic use is abuse, and against "all things in moderation". Rest & Recovery shouldn't just apply to exercise but also any agent, desirable or undesirable. As a general rule. 30% abstinence, and calculated acute use.
