For a effective home manicure/pedicure try using "Dovobet ointment" (Calcipotriol/betamethasone). Rub it into your hands, feet, cuticles and especially where the skin meets your nails. Leave it on thick. You can also use a light abrasive. Do this right before bed and cover it with mittens and socks while you sleep.
When you wake up take a shower and notice the big difference. There is one catch, Dovobet ointment can be quite expensive.
I love this product but the pick and pack can be quite tricky. It's on a tube and anything that comes in a tube generally is inconvenient for me. Does it come in a plastic bottle variant?
